Marrying themes of personal and perceived isolation with a muted visual palette, Sophie Wedgwood creates work that is subtle but above all has the power to resonate with a generation who feel disconnected. This new series of work, that will be published in conjunction with Magnum photos, explores the prosaic street life of Havana, Cuba in the areas that surround her apartment, using the distortions of glass and high camera angles to create a sense of distance, surveillance and unease.
